"I came to this fields to gather young harbs for you. Snow is falling on my sleaves."
by Emperor Koko, 9th century
My interpretension is: On the new year day, I go to the snowy fields and gather young harbs for you. The first harbs of the new year are believed as good for health. I don't feel cold at all, if you are glad to receive this present. White snow is falling on my silk sleaves, making beautiful color patterns like my heart for you.
Based on this old poem, I made another one: "I came to this fields to gather young harbs with my beloved horse. Snow is falling on my horse's black coat."
I mean that, on the new year day, I go to the snowy pasture to let my horse to gaze there. He is fiding young harbs under snow. The first harbs of the new year are traditionally believed as good for health. I wish my horse, I, and all my friends will be happy and healthy this year. White snow is falling on the thick black coat of my horse, making beautiful contrast of black and white.
