Side Saddle Lovers　　サイドサドル乗馬日記

I'm always concerned with a smooth top-line of AOI during exercises. The smooth top-line means that the muscles of his whole body are engaged well to move smoothly. If the top-line is sagged and he carries me on his sagged back, he will easily damage his waist and then his whole body. But it is very difficult for amateur riders like me to achieve such a smooth top-line. If I push him by force to move, he becomes rather stiff. I have to relax him by my good rhythm and balance. Yukio Okabe, a famous former jockey, said "Ability of pushing a horse is ability of good rhythm and balance, rather than ability of force. I think women are more gifted than men in terms of suppleness to harmonize with horses. Race horses are quite delicate creatures so that good rhythm is important for them more than humans."

馬によい動きをさせるために、
ハミ受け（または鼻面の角度？）にこだわる人もいます。
でも、私が気にしているのは馬のトップライン。

馬の項から尻尾の付け根までのラインがなだらかで、
全身の筋肉がほぐれて馬体がスムーズに動く状態です。
この状態にもっていくのは、素人にはなかなか難しい！

でも、背中が凹んだまま運動をさせたら、葵は腰を痛めてしまいます。
葵に丈夫で長生きしてもらうには、トップラインは大切なんです。

先日は、結構上手く運動できたように思いました。
自分の目でトップラインを確認できないので、感覚だけが頼りです。
その日は葵の機嫌が良く、
馬体も軽くスイスイ動く感じがしました。

ビデオで見ると、葵はよく動いているのに、私が追いすぎているくらいでした。
私が力任せに追うと、葵の動きがせわしなくなるだけで、馬体は硬くなっている。
葵が気持ちよく走れるリズムに、私が合わしてやるだけでよかった。

My favourite May comes! Ms. and Mr. Marconipops have sent me the photo of the beautiful cherry blossoms in UK! In the garden in front of my home, azaleas and roses are bloomed. Every morning, I'm delighted to see the spring blossoms. This April was quite busy and exhausted me. I look forward to having a long holiday in May.


　　　　　　　　　　　　


もう５月！
私の大好きな季節です。

マルコラブ夫妻が写真を送ってくださいました。
濃いピンクの花と、イギリスのEver Greenが綺麗です。

私の家の前にも、つつじとバラが咲き始めました。
毎朝、写メしてしまいます。

先月は仕事もプライベートも過密スケジュールで、
少々体調を崩してしまいました。
今年の後半は、もう少しのんびりしたいと思っています。

やりたいことがありすぎて、ちっとも静かにしていないという点では、

A renovation commemorative event was held in Start K after completion of the renovation work. In the event, the sidesaddle classes showed a parade by walk. I didn't join the parade, but did background work to take care of horses and take photographs. You can see my sidesaddle teachers and friends in these photos. I hope lots of Japanese women got interested in the elegant riding culture.

Un événement commémoratif de rénovation a été tenu à l'école de K à la fin du travail de rénovation. En cas, les classes de Amazone ont montré un défilé par la promenade. Je n'ai pas joint le défilé, mais ai effectué le travail de fond pour des chevaux et des photographies. Vous pouvez voir mes professeurs et amis de sidesaddle en ces photos. Ｋ星にて改装記念イベントが行われ、サイドサドル・チームも参加しました
私は会員ではなくてビジターですし、こんな時は人手がいるだろうと思い、
今回は裏方で会員さん方のお手伝いをいたしました。

あいにくの小雨模様でしたが、
ドレスアップしたヨコノラーズが勢揃いした光景は圧巻でした
イギリスのドラマのワンシーンのようでしたよ

今回は常歩でのパレードのみでしたが、
いつかお天気の良い日に、カドリールなど披露できたら素敵ですね。

この機会に、たくさんの方がサイドサドルに少し
興味を持ってくださればいいなと思います。

パレードの後は、久々にヨコノラーズでお茶会。
なんだか懐かしく嬉しかったです

A riding fashion shop in Tokyo visited a department store in Osaka for three days and gave a talk show with famous riders. My sidesaddle teacher Ms. A**** invited me and other sidesaddle members to see the talk show. So, I went to the expensive department store on a weekend afternoon! It is so rare to me because I'm usually in the stable not such a fashionable place on weekends! Anyway, I enjoyed the takl show and I was very happy to spend a time with my friends after the show.

Un magasin de mode d'équitation à Tokyo a visité à Osaka pendant trois jours et a donné une exposition d'entretien avec les cavaliers célèbres. Ma professeur de Amazone, Mm. A****, a invité moi et d'autres membres de Amazone à voir l'exposition d'entretien. Ainsi, je suis allé au magasin cher un après-midi de week-end! Je suis habituellement dans l'écurie pas un endroit à la mode des week-ends! Quoi qu'il en soit, j'ai apprécié l'exposition d'entretien et j'étais très heureux de passer un moment avec mes amis après l'exposition.


　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　


先日、大阪三越で、関東の乗馬ウェアショップ主催のトークショーがありました。
サイドサドルのＡ先生に声をかけて頂き、私も聞きに行くことになりました。

そのお店の乗馬ウェアは、白と黒を基調にしたシックなものばかり。
そのストイックさが関東らしいなと感じました。
こんな上品な服を馬上でさらりと着こなせたら、大人の女性っぽいですね！

トークショーでは、乗馬界の著名人のお話を伺い、
あのＳ藤選手から直接アドバイスを頂くことができました

この機会に久々にヨコノラーズや馬友と再会。
会えると思っていなかったので、すごく嬉しかった〜
いろいろ近況報告できました。

店長さんから馬型チョコを頂いたので、Ｎ村先生へのお土産に。
あ、もらい物だと伝えるの忘れました！

The cherry blossoms are now falling. The falling pink pedals are very beautiful for me, but scare AOI. Every spring, he jumps at the cherry pedals on the arena. This is our spring tradition!

Les fleurs de cerise tombent maintenant. Les pédales en baisse sont très belles pour moi. Mais elles effrayent AOI. Chaque avril, il saute aux pédales de cerise sur l'arène. C'est notre tradition d'avril!

今では、春の風物詩となりました。
毎年、馬場に落ちた桜の花びらを見て、葵がドッヒャ〜 と横っ跳ねするのです。
そして、ブホブホブホ〜ッ （あぁ〜怖かったぁ〜）と鳴く。

でも、私がまた落馬骨折しないよう気を使ってか、
今年は葵なりに精一杯こらえたプチ横跳び。

アオちゃん、少しぐらいなら跳ねてもいいのよ〜
そうでなきゃ春が来た気がしないもの！
